Another masterpiece quilt from the hands of the world-class artist Sylvia.
Here I am on the Sylvia trail providing these lucky glacier lilies and Oregon grapes with the opportunity to enjoy a new home in our west garden.

I love to see the early spring wildflowers bravely bursting to life on the mountain.

Easter Sunday, general conference and lots of family and plenty of sylvia's fabulous food!

No one bakes pies lile Sylvia.

And of course the table was beautiful.

Chatting afterwards
with Bill and family.

As usual Heather, Alex, David and JJ were loving it.

Another marvelous week in Cancun! These "Moon Palace member" weeks that we have bought have really turned out to be a fun vacation deal.
This is Glen and Kim Overton, Deon and Paul Coon, Sylvia and Bob, Pat and Glee Zumbrennan.
As usual the 3 golf courses were our main attraction. They are so hard that we celebrated when each of us finally broke 90!
This picture is of a par 3, and you are looking back at the tee. Yes, that is a driver lying on the ground, because that's what it takes to reach this green if you expect to clear the crocodile pit!

The courses are very flat, as is the entire Yucatan peninsula, so it is hard to get a camera to do justice to their beauty.
We all got afflicted with "permagrin".

If you miss the fairway, you might as well be in the water because the jungle is unbelievably thick.

One day we went deep sea fishing and each caught a nice sailfish. Glen's was the biggest.

When we got in line for the zip-line we noticed that there was no one else there who was older than our youngest children!
It was really scary, but I guess that's the whole idea.

Getting between the 9 zip-line towers was sometimes tricky!

We are starting to get comfortable with some of the friends that we have made at the resort.

Paul is sensitive to the cold so his thumb turned white from holding a cold soft drink. He is standing in front of the largest swimming pool in the world. Over 300 yards from one convoluted end to the other!

This is an "all-inclusive" resort, so all of the food and drinks are free. We don't drink but get just as jolly with games and all of the other fun stuff!

Last month we had such a good time going to St. George for the weekend that we decided to do it again for a one-nighter.

We had a good time playing Coral Canyon and Sand Hollow in nice warm sun. What a delight!
We got a much better deal by going on a tourist package deal for hotel and golf called "Red Rock Trail".
There were millions of rabbits and lots of "rabbit raisins" everywhere on the fairways and tee boxes. At Coral Canyon some falcon hunters showed up and immediately we saw no more rabbits.

Gilbert getaway

What a great relief from our long cold winter! A nice weekend away in Gilbert to visit the kids and play some golf.

Here we are at fabulous We Ko Pa, one of our favorite courses.

Immaculate fairways and greens, beautiful weather,
no houses, no traffic, no hurry. A great day!

Courtney is growing like a weed and climbing like a monkey.
Valerie enjoys life a lot.

Nice new snow

This has been a long cold winter but this month we've fallen behind on snow pack so we were grateful when we got a nice storm this weekend.
Saturday was quite warm so LeGrand and I decided to try to wade our way up the mountain in the new powder.

The snow was pretty deep but soft and the weather was warm so we had a good time. LeGrand's horse's name is "Silvertip", named after the famous Butch Cassidy era Utah outlaw.
In this picture he lives up to that name having gotten plastered by plowing through some tough stuff.

The new snow encouraged our pet deer to stay close to home, and we had 2 coyotes frolicking around for a couple of hours on the acreage just below us.

Golf in St. George

We've had a bad case of cabin fever this long cold winter so last week Sylvia and I slipped down to St. George for a 2 day break. We really lucked out on the weather and had a good time golfing.

As usual Sylvia won!
